Product Details
The WÜSTHOF Tri-Stone Sharpener includes three different grits for both honing and sharpening your blades. The firm, but still porous, structure of the stone continuously releases small particles during the sharpening process. This power in combination with water helps to deliver a fresh sharp edge on your knives. The three different grits of the WÜSTHOF Tri-Stone Sharpener are Fine (J3000), Medium (J1000), and Coarse (J240).

|---|---|---|
| Material | Premium forged steel engineered for lasting strength and corrosion resistance. | Often stamped or made from standard steel blends that may sacrifice durability or rust resistance. |
| Sharpness | 20% sharper than standard knives, thanks to laser-guided PEtec technology. | Factory-sharpened blades that start strong but dull faster and lack precision honing. |
| Craftsmanship | Hand-finished in Solingen, Germany with 200+ years of expertise and precision in every detail. | Mass-produced or partially outsourced craftsmanship that lacks the same heritage and consistency. |
| Corrosion Resistance | Exceptional rust resistance for a blade that stays beautiful for decades. | Prone to staining or rust if not carefully maintained—especially with frequent kitchen use. |
| Edge Retention | Stays sharper twice as long as ordinary knives, reducing the need to re-sharpen. | Edges wear faster over time, requiring more frequent sharpening and touch-ups. |
| Limited Lifetime Warranty | Limited lifetime warranty – a promise backed by generations of quality. | Lifetime coverage may exist, but with less transparency and variable service depending on the brand. |

Reviews
Terrible product. Terrible service.
"Terrible quality. After the third use, the fine stone began to crumble. Reached out to customer support and never received an answer. Didn’t want to leave a bad review, but have no choice since nothing is being done to replace or refund me."
Customer service
"Great customer service"
Nice setup
"The mounting box is a surprisingly firm base for the whetstone. Be sure to have a surface underneath to prevent slipping of the unit. I wish Wusthoff would include a link to video to show proper sharpening technique. Expensive at the listed price."
Tri-Stone Knife Sharpener
"I am pleased with the knife sharpener, especially having a wooden holder and water bottle. The holder keeps the sharpener from sliding around when I sharpen a knife."
Ideal
"It was perfect similar to the one we used in the kitchen and well priced. The stone is great with water and after a hone of the butchers steel they are like razors."
Great Sharpener, some quality issues
"I initially received this Tri-Stone sharpener as a Christmas present and loved it. It is able to make any knife sharp enough to go straight through your finger without you even noticing. After a few uses, the block did start to fall apart as the glue broke down while soaking the block in water. I reached out to Wüstof about the issue and then sent a replacement free of charge. The new one sharpens just as well and has been holding up without issue."
Failure
"Stones fell off blocks glue failed"
A great set of sharpening
"A great set of sharpening stones to keep my knives sharp."
Stone
"I left the stone in the water how it says, after a while the stones just felt from the wood the glue doesn't hold them"
